GLGrant Langston #8
Birth Date: June 16, 1982
Birthplace: Durban, Natal, South Africa
Residence: Murrieta, Calif.
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 175 lbs
Turned Pro: 1998

With his approachable demeanor, powerful charisma and eloquent tongue Grant Langston is an undeniable star both on and off the track. Racing with a ton of heart and nerves of steel Grant’s nickname “Zulu Warrior” fits perfectly with his style of racing.

The 2007 season didn’t start out like he’d have hoped with a broken collarbone injury early on, but Grant never gave up and made it back on the circuit before the Supercross season ended to get a little more seat time.

More trouble seemed to plague as the 2007 Nationals started, but by the time the season hit the halfway point things began to look up. Grant armed with a brand new 2008 YZ450F and a boatload of new found confidence went on a tear winning the last three Nationals and the 2007 AMA Motocross Championship crown. Not to bad for a guy who at the halfway point was sitting sixth place overall in the points standings.

An accomplished Champion, Grant’s 2007 title put an exclamation point on a career that already has seen him win a 125cc National title, 2 Supercross Lites Supercross titles, a 125cc World title and a SuperMoto title.

Langston is very proud and devoted familyman. His wife Chelsey, son Devin, and daughter Haley are his constant companions at the races, and not to mention his biggest fans. His father Gerald and uncle Andrew also play a big role in his racing efforts.

Look for Langston and his Dan Rambert-tuned # 8 YZ450F on the podium during the 2008 AMA Supercross and Motocross series.
